If you knew better would you do better?

You know better, so are you doing better?

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seem, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal”
2nd Corinthians 4:18
Now ain’t that the truth! Seriously though…how quickly do earthly possessions fade away? you could lose everything in the blink of an eye, and then what? Obviously earthly possessions are essential sometimes, and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to have nice things, lots of friends, a big house, etc. BUT, the main focus should be on God, everything else will come after…and then of course disappear again, but God will always be there.
“…If you don’t believe in anything bigger than yourself, you’ll never do anything bigger than yourself…”
Adele is incredible.
Where we don’t have to be all over each other in public to show we’re together; Where it’s known, I’m with you and you’re with me; Where our relationship doesn’t have to be plastered all over the Internet (via FB and Twitter); Where you can see our love through our eyes; Where you can feel our love when in our presence; Where I compliment you and you compliment me; Where people our envious of what we have; Where you make me better and I you; Where our love is only strengthened by the time spent apart; Where love conquers all and in the end, you and I are the only people that matter…

is gonna be a real challenge. I have zero voice, and yall KNOW I love to talk! Not only that, but I’m hosting a BBQ at my house with like 15 people; how am I supposed to be a good host when I can’t talk?! I guess I’ll take this time to just be still, and listen, maybe I’ll learn something about myself in the midst of everyone else’s conversation.
ugh here we go…
“The breakdown of social barriers is a good thing, but there are some distinctions that ought never to be erased to the extent that legitimate respect is lost, such as with parent/child, teacher/student, and youth/old age. When these distinctions are lost, something of life’s direction has been lost for ALL of us.” -Ravi Zacharias
A thousand times I've failed
Still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in your grace
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
My heart and my soul, I give You control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise, become my embrace
To love You from the inside out
From the Inside Out, Hillsong United
“A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.”
Proverbs 11:13
Simple enough. Defend and speak well of each other, and hold people’s secrets safe; they told you in the first place because they trusted you—-that’s a big deal so don’t take it lightly. Oh, and don’t be so so willing to hear and quick to believe the worst about other people, and then spread it, especially to advance yourself.
